Noir & Bloom
Noir & Bloom
About
The story behind Noir & Bloom — why we work the way we work, and what it means for the appointment you book with us.
Our Story
Sienna opened Noir & Bloom in 2018 after a decade in London salons where every appointment felt like a transaction. She'd watched too many clients leave a colour chair smiling politely and then quietly book somewhere else for the next one.
The idea was simple: build a salon where the consultation is the most important part of the appointment, the chairs are far enough apart that you can hear yourself think, and the price you're quoted is the price you pay.
Eight years on, the team is four. The room is still quiet. The principle hasn't moved.
What we believe
01
We don't pick up scissors until we've understood what you actually want — and what's realistic.
02
Our prices are on the website. There are no surprise add-ons at the till. You'll always know what you're paying.
03
We book in proper time so nothing is rushed. The work shows when you've slept on it.
04
We'd rather have you back for ten years than book you twice. Everything we do is built around that.
The Journey
2018
Sienna takes the keys to a Georgian basement in the heart of Exeter and opens with two chairs and a borrowed kettle.
2020
We add a precision-cutting specialist and expand to four chairs.
2022
Imogen builds the bridal arm. By the end of the year we've styled forty weddings.
2024
Noah leads a dedicated treatments and scalp-therapy room — a quiet space, by appointment.
Today
Still in Cathedral Yard. Still listening first.
